In this post I’ll share the details of Kartra’s affiliate program, and compare it to one of the biggest alternatives: The ClickFunnels affiliate program.

Before we get into Kartra’s affiliate program, it’s important to first understand what an affiliate program actually is.

What is affiliate marketing?

In simple terms, affiliate marketing is when companies pay for referring leads or buyers to their products or services.

The percentages can vary greatly from just a few percent on Amazon, to 100% commissions on certain front-end products.

How much does Kartra’s affiliate program pay?

The Kartra affiliate program pays affiliates 40% recurring commissions on all referred sales and transactions. This means that you earn commissions every month the people you refer stay customers.

This is the same as ClickFunnels and other similar software pay.

It’s very generous, especially because of the recurring part.

Think of it this way…

If you refer someone who ends up subscribing to the base plan and stay a member, you essentially make $40 per month in recurring revenue, without having to do anything at all.

And if they upgrade their plan – your commission goes up too.

Affiliate Program Comparison: Kartra vs ClickFunnels

If you’ve seen any other post or video from me, you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of Kartra.

I run 4 different online businesses through ONE Kartra account (including this site…)

However, I must admit that the ClickFunnels affiliate program is more attractive for a few reasons, that I’ll share here.

This doesn’t necessarily mean you should focus all your efforts promoting ClickFunnels rather than Kartra (I don’t – for example) – but it might make sense for you to spend the time with ClickFunnels instead.

Here’s why the ClickFunnels affiliate program is better:

The Dream Car: Once you reach 100 active referrals you get an additional $500/mo to cover the lease on a car.

Kartra does not currently offer any bonuses for super affiliates (that I’m aware of.)

More things to promote: ClickFunnels has a lot of entry-level products and events you can promote and sign people up.

Like the Affiliate Bootcamp, One Funnel Away Challenge, Expert Secrets Ebook and many others.

Kartra on the other hand only offers a rather tame ebook “11 Essential Tools for Running Your Online Business” to help you incentivise your affiliate offer.

2 Comma Club and the Comma Club X: ClickFunnels recognises users who have earned more than $1,000,000 and $10,000,000 respectively in a single funnel.

Naturally this isn’t restricted to affiliate marketers, and the value of this recognition is also quite speculative.

But, as a new funnel builder you might look at the people getting their awards in front of thousands of people and use it as inspiration or motivation for growing your own business.

Kartra Affiliate Program Conclusion

The 40% recurring commission with Kartra is a strong incentive and matches what the industry standards are.

However, in terms of additional value, benefits, and tools for promotion it’s lacking seriously behind ClickFunnels.

I hope the team behind Kartra realises this, and comes up with ways for affiliate marketers to promote Kartra easier.

In the meantime the one advantage Kartra affiliate marketers (like myself) have is that the competition is not as fierce as for the ClickFunnels affiliate program.

And I honestly believe we’re doing people a great service by providing a solution that is better and cheaper.
